Start Accepting PayID
PayID has been simplifying client-initiated payments for Australians since 2018, enabling instant payments 24x7.
Fast, Secure and Convenient
PayID brings clarity to bank transfers. Clients can confirm the recipient before paying, and the recipient receives confirmation once the transfer is complete.
No more second-guessing account numbers or risk of sending money to the wrong place. PayID with Mint reduces the back-and-forth that slows bookings down.
It also integrates seamlessly with Mint Virtual Terminal to streamline payments from your clients via hosted payments pages or payment links. Booking and transaction information is recorded against transaction records in Virtual Terminal, making it easy to reconcile all bank transfers and card payments in one place.
Why it Works for Travel
Supported by over 100 Australian banks and institutions, see why PayID is so popular with travelers and operators alike.
Fast
Payments made to a PayID will be sent fast 24/7, even between different banks.
Simple
Mint PayIDs are unique to each transaction, making them easy to reconcile.
Secure
Payments are made within the client's online banking app for added peace of mind.
Accurate
PayID’s payee confirmation step allows clients to see who they are paying before they send money.
How it Works
Mint’s straightforward PayID payment flow enhances customer experience while keeping your operations smooth, secure, and easy to manage. With no cards, no terminals or fiddly delays, start receiving instant payments directly from your client’s bank account.
Generate a payment link with Mint Virtual Terminal or offer PayID at checkout with a connected system.
The client selects PayID at checkout. A unique PayID address for the transaction and the amount to transfer are presented to the client.
The client logs into their banking app on their device, and creates a PayID payment, entering the PayID email address and amount from the payment window.
The client authorises the PayID payment – their bank will likely request some sort of two-factor authentication e.g. SMS code, Touch ID, Face ID.
